Audio Unit Support
In addition to support for AAX DSP, AAX Native, TDM, and RTAS plug-in formats, all McDSP plug-ins now include support for the Audio Unit (AU) plug-in format. This allows McDSP plug-ins to be used not only in Pro Tools HD, LE, and M-Powered, but also in Logic, Garage Band, Digital Performer, Ableton Live and all other AU compatible DAWs.

6030 Ultimate Compressor
The 6030 Ultimate Compressor is the next generation of dynamic range control technology. Building on the entire McDSP compression algorithm code base, the 6030 adds new sonic capabilities, stunning interfaces, and quality only McDSP could deliver.
Using the popular module format, the 6030 offers ten different compressors. All of these designs are by McDSP - some completely from the ground up, while others are emulations of existing gear with unique variations created by McDSP. Each 6030 module is easy to operate, and yet has enough sophistication for the most discerning professional.
Whatever your style, from smooth tube emulations to aggressive solid-state designs, the 6030 has a custom-made dynamic range control module that is right for you.
The 6030 Ultimate Compressor is available individually as well as part of the Emerald Pack v5 bundle, available to Emerald Pack v4 customers as an upgrade.
Classic Pack v5
The Classic Pack v5 bundle is the next generation of McDSP Classic Pack plug-ins. These 'Next Gen' versions of Analog Channel, CompressorBank, FilterBank, and MC2000 are completely new plug-ins, and include Audio Unit (AU) support, new streamlined interfaces, control range improvements and even a few algorithm tweaks.
A set of Legacy Classic Pack plug-ins are also included to support existing sessions using current Classic Pack plug-ins. Both Next Gen and Legacy versions of Classic Pack plug-ins are available in the new Classic Pack v5 bundle, and can coexist in sessions. Note Legacy Classic Pack plug-ins are not available in the Audio Unit (AU) format.
Emerald Pack v5
Along with Emerald Pack v4's world-renowned emulations of vintage equalizers, compressors, tape machines and channel amplifiers, combined with custom console modeling, and the latest technology in convolution reverb and mastering limiter, McDSP's Emerald Pack v5 now also includes the 6030 Ultimate Compressor, the Next Generation of Classic Pack and AU support.

McDSP v5 System Support
The McDSP v5 release supports Intel-Mac and PowerPC systems running Mac OS 10.5.x (Leopard), 10.6.x (Snow Leopard), 10.7.x (Lion), and Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Please note the PowerPC version does not support the Audio Unit (AU) plug-in format - it is a Pro Tools only version.
McDSP v5 is a Paid Upgrade
The McDSP v5 release is a paid upgrade requiring new authorizations. In addition to adding support for the Audio Unit (AU) plug-in format, several new plug-ins, features, and significant fixes are included in the v5 release. The new v5 authorizations will not be transferable between users.
