"What a great bunch of plug-ins! I was amazed by Analog Channel 2.  I love stuff like that - it does something that a plain EQ can't do.  7.5 ips vintage with the bias cranked up sounds awesome on distorted guitars. Very cool."
Doug Olson, Department Chair, Madison Media Institute

McDSP knows that access to the best gear on the market won’t necessarily guarantee success in our competitive industry, but it helps!  That’s why McDSP is committed to offering the best student bundle available at a price students can actually afford.

Project Studio is the ideal student bundle. It has everything you need to create, mix and master right in your own studio.  Along with the Project Studio, other bundles and options are available for students. "Using McDSP plug-ins while teaching the basic principles of mixing has been great––students hear from themselves the differences between something like the EQII or III and a really high end plug-in and it really helps them to start to develop an ear and feel like they can learn how to mix."
Scott Church
, Instructor, Cogswell Polytechnical Institute

PLOrk is a newly established ensemble of computer-based musical meta-instruments. Each instrument consists of a laptop, a multi-channel hemispherical speaker, and a variety of control devices (keyboards, graphics tablets, sensors, etc...). The students who make up the ensemble act as performers, researchers, composers, and software developers. The challenges are many: what kinds of sounds can we create? how can we physically control these sounds? how do we compose with these sounds? There are also social questions with musical and technical ramifications: how do we organize a dozen players in this context? with a conductor? via a wireless network?

“Working with McDSP plug-ins has offered us incredible amounts of diversity and function.  The great quality makes teaching the intricacies of recording, mixing and mastering that much easier.” – Jeff Higley, Founder, Laguna School of Music

"After using the McDSP plug-ins on a variety of sessions, I’ve come to the conclusion that if I were only able to keep one manufacturer’s plug-ins, these are the guys who get the call.  From the eqs and compressors, to the convolution reverb and the ML4000, it’s amazing that all of these plug-ins have become my first choice every time. The Analog 2 has addressed the issue of “analog tape warmth” perfectly. Nice work McDSP." - Eric Morgeson, Studio A Recording, Detroit
